Gifts 2017
The Committee would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those societies and all individuals , who forwarded gifts or money for the on going work over the last year. Looking at the effort of work that has gone into the making of the gifts , we have realise how committed our members are in supporting Floating Christian Endeavour. This year we have dispatched a total of 760 gifts on your behalf .
We have also on your behalf given nine port an aditional amount of money of £100 to help them in their ministry . This is spent on other seafarers needs like telephone cards ,as some of the seafarers can not afford to call home . When we contacted a port Chaplian or Seafarer Centre administration , about your donation of gifts which was soon to arrive they were delighted and thank us for our continued support.
As we follow in the foot steps of JESUS willing to help those in need , taking time out to make gifts or even write a letter . We will never know what difference we make
In our endeavours . Your gifts will remind them of a Loving LORD JESUS who cares and loves them .

We would like to thank the following seamen centres for accepting all of your gifts.

Marine Society
As a committee we have been looking at other ways we can assist those who are called to serve in the merchant navy. We heard from the marine society of the hardship of some of the trainee seafarers
please see below how your donations makes a real difference to seafarers..

A £1,000 grant from Floating Christian Endeavour was donated to the MSSC in 2013 restrictions for the funds to be used to assist Seafarers with their educational needs in order to enhance career progression.
This funding was restricted to the Marine Society's newly created Hanway Fund which was created to offer flexible and quickly accessible financial support to seafarers in order to provide qualifications and training to improve their employment prospects.

We have again on your behalf sent the gift of money towards this worthy cause for a 4th Year .
