Writing Letters

In the caring for Christians at sea, Endeavours or groups of Endeavourers in societies can write letters containing some thought of a spiritual nature, or an illustration of some Christian principle. Avoid 'dated' items like weather, news etc. As it may be a year leter that your letter is read . Inform the reader that you are thinking of them and praying for them. It is quite acceptable to have up to 24 copies of the same letter as we send them out to many different sea ports.

Woollen Items

We need woolly hats, fingerless gloves, scarfs and balaclavas all of general adult size

if interested see knitting pattern for hats and fingerless gloves.

Stationary items

Pens, pencils and small notebooks,

Soap, face cloths, lipsil, tooth brush & paste, Deodorant, shower gel, shampoo, shaving cream.

Donations of money are welcome, as many ports appreciate the money with which they can use to purchase specific items needed.

Through the gifts received men and women have been led to the Lord and started a Christian life. Bearing in mind our motto is 'Saved to Serve', on leaving the sea some have continued in life serving the Lord at home or in other countries.

Once the gift have been distributed they are given out by Missioners or Seamen's Societies through out the year .
